Installed Hell Bent Steel 2" Leveling Kit Saturday. Overall I am happy with the results. Drove to Houston from Louisiana this morning and expected my average mpg to drop slightly (aerodynamics) but seemed to stay about the same. Keep in mind that I tried to keep the cruise control around 75 as much as I could. My average dropped from 16.8 mpg to 16.7 a couple times but I'm contributing that to the head wind I felt. When I didn't feel the head wind I was consistently getting over 16.8, possibly could have gotten 16.9 or 17 average without the wind.
As far as the install, it wasn't very hard. Took me, my dad, and brother about 2 hours from start to finish using a car jack, basic hand tools and a pry bar.
Looks good! I was averaging 15.5 mpg here in Vegas when my truck was stock. Getting around 17 mpg w/recent upgrades to exhaust and a CAI. Jury is still out on whether or not that is going to be a solid mpg. Did you consider lowering the rear instead of raising the front to level things out? If you did, what was your deciding factor to go w/raising the front?
so how much did that actually raise the front??? looking to do this as well but thinking I want the 2.5" lift
I did the 2" HBS also. I was told the 2.5" puts ball joints at a pretty bad angle so I went with the 2". All I wanted was to clear 315/70/17's and it did that with no rubbing. I also read that sometimes a 2.5 give the truck an uphill look depending on individual suspensions.
IMHO...The 2" looks good with just a little rake left in the truck.

I'm not sure what height it was at before. Now in the front from the ground to center of the wheel well is at 3' 3-1/2" and the rear is at 3' 3-3/8" so has a very slight back lean.

Thanks! I wasn't interested in lowering the rear as I plan on putting bigger tires in the future once these wear down.
Looks good! Welcome to FTE also I did a 2" AS and 3" rear block, also have Airlift bags in back for hauling firewood
Thanks! I checked out your truck and really like the stance. I haven't looked into rear blocks since I thought it would negate my level but now that I see yours it makes me wonder. That may come later once I upgrade to bigger tires. Did you install them yourself?
