Ok guys got some questions. I have a 77 F100 XLT. 2wd 351M. I have found some issues that are dragging my money other places. Engine and such.
I want to lower the truck. Willing to do any fab work that is necessary, but money is tight.
Truck will be driven most of the summer so had to be drivable and safe ( know about camber issues) the rear will get flip and shackles. And I'll adjust pinion angle
Just wondering what people have done in the front to try to save a buck and still get the look and drivability?
You have the twin I beam setup, right? How are your welding skills? I know of one member here that successfully cut and welded his own drop beams. You could also cut or buy lowering coils. Both of these will need new lowering shocks.

Yes twin I beam. Welding to that I beam would be a BITCH!!! Wounding how many coils can I cut before It gets too much to really drive with.
You will be better off to just fork over the cash for lowering springs if driveabilty is any concern. keep an eye on clearance. You don't want those I beams bumping into the frame or oil pan. A major drop will require you to notch the frame and probably clearance the oil pan.
