O what a day it has been.
We have been working on the sons truck, trying to get everything in line.
As we are updating to EFI exhaust manifolds and I did my fair share of research.
I ordered up a walker exhaust from summit.
Got it pretty quick, looked good, no biggie deal. Did a test fit and noticed the end pipe was a bit long and pointed directly at the tranny cross member. Again, no biggie deal. We just shorted it.
After shorting it, that's when I found the true problem.......
They welded the second down pipe to the main pipe without cutting the hole first. Glad I caught it now, poor ol engine wouldn't have been able to breath if we had put it together that way.
Seeing that I found this after I cut, I really don't have a leg to stand on calling Summit about it.
Oh well, hand me a beer!
Agreed. That's inexcusable! Glad you caught it though, that would have been a disaster the first time you fired it up. Something would have had to give... (and none of the options are good).
