Well you are suppose to put the back end up on jack stands and run it up with the front wheels blocked. Also do not aim the truck at anything important.

I haven't read through everything. But IIRC if a BOO switch isn't working correctly that can cause issues with the TCC. I believe once the switch is activated it turns off the TCC. Correct me if I am wrong.

No you are right, anytime the BOO switch is pushed and the TC is locked it will unlock.

We are also looking at the bouncing speedometer. That is why he wanted to know how to check the VSS train.

OK I finely got to put the metter on the RBAS plug no voltage found. What now

Unplug the PSOM and the RABS module and see if voltage returns.

RABS: Rear Anti Lock brake sensor.this is a multi sensor.it's also the VSS: Vehicle Speed Sensor.it's that sensor in the rear diff.

Thanks for your help. It will be a day or two before I can get to the cluster. I'll solder the pins better while I'm at it. I'll let you know what happens.
