Ok I know what it is just can't find where it is. It said brake on off no signal.
If I knew what I was looking for I might be smart enough to fix it. I'm wondering if all my problems might be related. 1 TCC lockup 2 speedometer needle bounces once your above 35. The only troublec ode I get is 111 and 536 BOO.
1995 F350 7.5 gas with a E4OD Tranny Box Truck. Thanks for listening to some one in over his head.
Did you run the KOER self-test? If so did you put your foot on that thing that stops the truck going down the road when you were told to do it?
The BOO switch is mounted on the on that thing that stops the truck going down the road.
BOO = Brake Off & On switch.
You may also have junk floating around in the rear end to cause the speedometer needle bounces once your above 35. Could also have some junk stuck to the VSS on top of the rear end.
Unless your VSS is mounted on the service brake at the back of the transmission then the above would not apply.
If not that sounds like the PSOM may on its way out or bad wiring going to the rear end and its plug on the rear end or the service brake housing.
Yes I ran the KOER, and The KOEO the KOER gave me the 536 BOO The KOEO gave me the 111 Every thing ok. The TCC locks up when I put it in any gear and The truck will die if I'm not careful. I can deal with that after I deal with all the other. Or maybe if I get the speed, BOO fixed the TCC will be also. No that only works in the movies.
'95 f350 (pickup or cab n chassis) will sport the sterling 10.25 rear axle with the tone ring and vss/abs sensor.
the drivline brakes only came on the '87-97 F-super duty (f-450)
I looked I don't have one. But I recounted the bottom bolts on the tranny, there are 20 bolts that says it's aE4OD tranny. Fellows I'm at a lose. Did they make a E4OD with out a VSS on the rearend? or do I have a weird Tranny?
The information for the speedometer has to come from a VSS. With a box truck I did not know if maybe you had one the drivline brake or the rear end. I guess if it is not a Super Duty it must be on the top of the rear end.
You do have an LCD readout for your odometer, do you not?
If you do not see one on top of the rear end the wiring and the sensor may be broken off. If so that would be a lot of your trouble.
I have one on the rear end, I changed it and to no avail. I have an LCD multimetter . What should I read there if it's good? I checked all the lights and fuses.
You check it on the AC scale @ 30mph.
The voltage should smoothly and continuously rise from 0 to approximately 3.5 volts AC as vehicle speed increases from 0 to 48 km/h (0 to 30 mph).
Connect the meter leads to the RABS plug, located drivers side near the fire wall on the fender.
