I have a 2003 Expedition with power seats. When I hit the brakes the seat shifts forward. I looked under the seat and the hardware that bolts the seat to the floor seems tight. It almost looks like there is backlash in the power motor system that moves the seat. I can see the seat move on the rails. Any idea what could be loose? I ordered the service manuals and will try to tear into it when they arrive.

 

Just an FIY, both of the front power seats in my 03 do the same thing. I can't remember if it's always done that since we've had the truck 10 years. I know it's been doing it for the last couple of years. I assume it's the power mechanism wearing and getting more backlash.
