The mystory of the Gremlin in my degas bottle / Cooling system

So lately my truck had a leak coming from the water pump and radiator So I drained my cooling system to keep from leaking in my driveway untill 2 weeks ago I filled it up and drove it arround town. Since then no leaks. The only difference is I did not fill it up all the way the degas bottle is roughly 1/5 full.

Has anyone experienced anything like this ? What was the culprit ?

The history and pictures of the leaks can be found on this thread.

You may have to fill degas bottle to confirm location of leak.

If you fill the degas to the "cold" line when cold, it will spew through the cap when warm. Fill it to "Cold" while hot, then drive it for a few days without refilling. See if your leak goes away on its own. The line on the degas is about as honest as the overhead MPG gauge.
