Ive got a 97 F-Superduty Quigley conversion. In the last week Ive hit a pot hole on the main street at about 35 mph. Hit it on passenger side. All 3 times the truck has gone into a death wobble. It shakes so hard I almost have to come to a complete stop to get it to quit. Has never done it before. All my tie rod ends are tight. The only thing I can see is the steering stabilizer looks like it may be leaking a little. Even with no steering stabilizer installed, it shouldn't be doing this crap.........Any Ideas?
2wd? 4wd? Any kind of lift or stock?
Check your pivot/radius bushings, ball joints, check for a possible bent wheel, unevenly worn tires can even cause the death wobble as was the case on my old 80 f250.

4x4 Quigley conversion. Solid D70 front axle. No lift, stock Quigley ride height. Leaf spring front end, spring eye bushings don't look bad. Drives awesome except when I hit that damn hole. Guess its time to get out a pry bar and get serious and see if I can find anything worn! Will jack it up and give the wheels a spin. I'd think if a wheel was bent I'd feel it all the time. Has some pretty big lug tires on it, guess they could be worn unevenly..............Like I said, guess its time to get serious about finding the issue.....thanks for the suggestions......open to others!

Easiest fix, don't hit that damn hole anymore xD
Yeah lift her up and give everything a good once over. My company e250 van has a bent wheel up front that I only feel at about 45-50mph under or above that and it's smooth sailing.
Let us know is you find anything.
Well if the damn city would fix that damn hole..........LOL.......but seriously.........since I bought this truck for a tow rig, I need to find the issue............don't want no death wobble crap happening at 75 mph with a big loaded trailer behind me..............I'll find it, just got a lot on my plate right now, didn't need this issue right now............if ya know what I mean!
Yeah me too............got the ENTIRE dash out of my Freightliner right now, scattered all over the shop......... have to get a headache rack installed on it.........trying to get ready to start hauling for a new company..................GRRRRRRRR
