Number Dummy, Maybe you can help with these #s that are from the back side of the outside mirrors. u906-11334p & u906-61oo8p I know this a shot in the dark. They are from a 99 Lightning I am restoring. Does anyone sell just the replacement mirror insert ?

FORD prolly does. Are they plain power mirrors or power with turn signal lamps?
EDIT. Those nubers you supplied are prolly numbers from the supplier who made them for FORD. They are'nt Ford numbers.
'99 Lightning: Does anyone sell just the mirror insert?
The mirrors have the turn signals imbedded.
Which part of the outside mirror are you referring to as an insert...the glass itself?
1999 Lightning with power/signal outside mirrors: The mirror glass can be replaced by itself...if the mounting plate the glass attaches to is undamaged and present.
But, if the mounting plate is damaged or missing, the entire mirror has to be replaced.
I'd post a pic of the little charmer, but my 1990/2001 light truck parts catalog is on microfiche.
Thanks for the reply, The mounting plates are in good condition, the glass parts are spotted, the real Ford #s were under some tape that had a different#. r # f75b-17k707-bb l # f75b-17t675-bb, both are signal mirrors and MUTH MIRROR systems at the bottom of the glass side can be read. They are not heated. Thanks for the help. Kenny
F57B-17K707-BB is the ID number for the mirror glass. Dunno what the other ID number is for.
I'll have to look in a Master Cross Reference Catalog to find out what the actual part numbers are...these ID numbers cross over to.
I have these catalogs (bound paper), but they're out in the garage buried under a ton of junk.
I could look later today (I'm too tired to look now), but JEFFFAFA (he's a Ford partsguy) has the same info on his 'puter.
Thanks for the help. We are restoring a '99 Lightning. The mirrors themselves are all spotted because the truck was in storage for 12 years. It looks like I should replace the signal mirrors with the wires in the back, which is where I found the Ford part numbers I sent you. The local dealership said I had to replace the entire outside assembly to the tune of over $400, which would also require painting, times two! This just does not sound right. I am looking for good Ford part numbers to order, both left and right sides. Whenever you get a chance, that would be great. Much appreciated, Kenny
Those engineering numbers don't cross over anymore. After "x" number of part number changes Ford drops the early engineering numbers. Depending on when the truck was originally built (before or after 10/12/98) the signal lamps were either 3 or 1 lamp LEDs. Since then both original choices have been replaced by 2000 1 LED lamp mirrors and replacement glass's. And boy are they expensive. SOOOOO, since you are restoring this Lightning I am assuming you want what it had originally. Let me know either the last 8 digits of the vin (prefered) or the production date and I'll search for some dealers who might have the original part numbers in stock still. These would be cheaper than the current numbers. The current part numbers for the glass are real close to the price of the mirrors! And BTW, the painted cap on the back of the mirrors is a separate part. The mirror assemblies do not come with it.
Yep. I had found there is one dealer that has both sides of the F85Z's. They are a ton cheaper than the current numbers. Waiting to hear from Kenny if he wants 3 lamp or one lamp.

You know what they say doncha? Obsolete parts are hard to find, if you snooze...you lose.
Guys you are really a great help. I was out of touch because we went to Pensacola for the Mustang show, the hotel's e-mail was down.

What Ford listed sounds straight out a a Abbot & Costello skit. Looking up the mirror assemblies they show an early 3 LED lamp set of mirrors and a late 1 LED lamp set. Both of these replaced by a later number 1 LED lamp set which are expensive retail. PM me if you want a wholesale price. Now getting to the glass's you want,Ford only listed an old number but gave them a description of "3 LED lamps have been replaced by 1 LED lamps". Those two part numbers have been relaced by later numbers which are almost the price of the lamp assemblies. Who's on 1st? What's on 2nd? So the cheapest way is the two glass part numbers Ford originally listed. It is confusing as to if they are 3 LED lamp or 1 LED lamp. THere was one dealer (one man show) that showed both sides in stock. But after a few hours he finally called me back stating he actually had neither. Prolly hasn't done an inventory in years. So try these:
