Does anyone know for sure if the bolt pattern/front cover where the water pump mounts the same for OBS and SD?
When I asked Clay @ RiffRaff about the waterpump they offer(its listed for 99-03) he said it can work with slight modification. I didn't want to bug him with more detailed questions.
I think I had $250 or so in mine all done, but I didn't have 3 filters or a lifetime hose or a t-stat housing. I made do with lesser stuff. Plus, buying that kit would save you all the time and fees/shipping getting stuff from other places. I bet it is a $30-50 difference in the end and time and energy might be worth it. I would still probably piece mine together if I was doing it again, but I don't think that is a rip off or anything.
You know Alex, that might not be a bad deal. Like said, you could save some off that but a lot less hassle. I think that darn lower radiator hose was $50 alone! I'll guess that maybe you could save $100 but with a lot of running around.
It may be worthwhile..we'll see. With my school schedule I enjoy anything that adds to convenience of my life.
But you guys agree that pump is the same as that in the writeup?
I just worry myself when things are listed under their "99-03" section lol

I didn't look that close! I know there is some difference with the outlets between the OBS and SD 7.3. One of the write-ups talked about the 45* fitting that feeds the heater, I think, and it is a different size on the SD - or there were 2 fittings on the OBS and only 1 on the SD. Sorry I can't remember, but there was some difference.
Im jealous of your price William!
I didnt have any leads on anything so I got it from Bus parts experts. After discount its like $145 shipped.
ANYWAY, I have all of the major parts necessary.
My new job didnt have much for me to do today so I went and 'trained' myself on the mill!
I am hoping to prime/paint this weekend and get this puppy installed next week!
Assuming the weather cooperates... I am not doing this in hail like we had this week.
I had mine on the motor on the stand and decided to pull it off and paint it lol. Ive painted every single part of the motor and cleaned it all up so far, i don't want a rusty water pump as a center piece.
Thanks guys. Im eager to get this in. My truck loses about a quart of fluid 10 minutes after parking it. lol But the pump is still pumping! Ive been watching that gauge like a hawk!
No not yet Gabe. I bet there wont be a problem though. I just need to keep myself from purchasing a 79 f150 4x4 so I can afford to go! lol
For the price of the injectors I want to get I can afford this truck!
