Questionable spark plug suggestion

While researching spark plug replacement I came across a suggestion for loosening the carbon that I found that I am leery of. Someone (not on here) suggested disconnecting the vacuum hose off of the brake assist and suck a can of Sea Foam through it into the engine. Seems like this could do some damage. Anyone tried this?

Typically that's what you do to sea foam an engine anyway. Sea foam is meant to clean up the top end from carbon deposits and what not, although the carbon that causes problems with the spark plugs I would imagine is a bit more caked on than anywhere else and for that to work would take multiple applications spaced out leading up to the plug change.

That's exactly how to use Sea Foam, as BigDaddy has already stated.

Not sure how effective it would be in helping to remove the spark plugs, but you sure aint gonna cause any problems administering Sea Foam to the engine in that prescribed way.

Ok, I guess I'm just more familiar with adding Sea Foam to the gas tank.

The way I've always heard it done is 1/3 in the tank, 1/3 in the oil pan, and 1/3 through the brake booster vaccuum line. Drive it around for a few miles, then change the oil. Shiny and clean upper
