Hello all i am not new to this forum but I am new to this part because i was looking at a 83 f-150 before i bought my new truck a 1995 f-150. Ill quickly tell you guys about me. I'm young 18 so a time or two the older guys thought i was being reckless and then i explain i have no plans on being another "*SS HOLE" on the road. thats why i ask for your guys help/ opinion, like today....
I just bought myself a 1995 F-150 XLT Eddie Bauer extended cab short box with a 351 and 167000km (Slightly over 100,000 miles) its Bone stock as of now but i have a few plans for at already, as do most new truck owners. I want to know what you guys think of these plans and i want you to give me ideas of cool/fun stuff to do. I plan on doing all the things you need for a "SIXLITRE" tune (MSD coil, wires, distributer, plugs, etc) but maybe not advancing the timing just yet also long tube header to true duels no cats put to 2.5'' purple hornies where the cats would go and do 45' out before the back tires. Also id like to have HID headlights (This dose **** people off when i saw this please ive already had a long thread where we talked about it). I would like a bad rack bc i do already have a CB with a 4' whip and a 4" spring i think it be nice to have a back rack as well.
I may do some lawn care this summer (cutting grass trimming hedges making gardens) but mostly this truck it for me to be proud of and to enjoy for myself.
*If you look at the photos of the side you see two different rims i have a set of each with the truck.
First off welcome to FTE. I will personally say that I am glad you got this truck over the 83. Personally I don't care for the 83 body style as much.
Second most of your plans sound good. We can't really give you many recommendations without knowing what you will be using the truck for primarily. (Daily driver, hauling stuff, and such).
I will say that HIDs aren't my thing but if you want them go for them.
Personally I have never heard of purple hornies.
Frankly just because your 18 doesn't mean you are an *ss hole I am 18 and only be one when I please. LOL
Personally my thoughts of "cool" is a small leveling kit with 33s, some nice mud terrains, a decent brush guard, full on LED lighting, a lot more power, and a lot more lights. You are lucky most OBS guys are looking for the front bumper you have to put lights in the holes.

I am going to come right out and say it. Don't be arrogant about HID's. If your not willing to spend the money and time on a proper projector retrofit, don't buy HID's. Just because you want them doesn't give you the right to blind others on the road.
With that out of the way, a tune-up is always a good start with any new vehicle. Your exhaust choice is decent. Long tunes are good, but I would recommend a y pipe between them into a single 2.75" or 3" pipe.

Ok why do you recommend the Y pipe? I'm open to all opinions is better power better mileage or just better for the truck?
Personally I have a y-pipe on my 88 F150 302 and I like it for two reasons 1 it stays out of the way under the truck, 2 to me it feels like it has better throttle response compared to my dad's old 86 F150 302. I got it with the y-pipe and before I blew the engine I never tracked fuel mileage. Personally right now I have stock formation exhaust, no cat and a ypipe but what I will be doing is true dual thrush packs with no cats either behind the tire 45ed or out the back with 2 1/2 piping. That's just me though.

I put fog lights in those holes in the bumper. Looks great. I had them on a switch to begin with but then wired it up so they come on with the headlights.
Purple hornies will sound great on that truck, I had them on a 94 rclb f150 4x4 with true duals and no cats, mine were 90 out the back with tailpipe as I am not a big fan of polishing tips, when I first had my exhaust put on it was a single in dual out thrush 45 before the tires but it kept dis coloring my wheels, then I had the pipes 45 by th bumper and it dis colored the bumper hence the 90 with tailpipe, also sounds pretty good when you go under an overpass or tunnel like that, I never liked them straight out because I have always pulled a lot of trailers. In my opinion 32's on those wheels look really good with no lift bit that's just me a headache rack is handy also

Welcome to this section! As far as exhaust, my truck has hedman mid length hedders to a y pipe with a 3 inch outlet to a 3 inch single inlet dual outlet Cherry Bomb turbo muffler with the duals coming straight out the back. It has a low aggressive rumble at idle to a loud yet deeply throaty sound when you open it up. Our family has had 3 trucks with glass packs. Two Chevys with 454s and one ford 460. They have a good sound and are mean when you open up the throttle, but going down the road you can't listen to the radio or have a conversation to save your life. I would strongly suggest against the glass packs. Headers are a good choice. I would suggest going to Summit racing. They gve me the best online deal for my exhaust stuff. I think some angel eye headlights on yours would look sweet
