Does the earlier Owners Manuals say the same thing?

After my recent bought with stupidity I was looking at the book for a fuel filter change and this is all mine says. 2014 owners manual
"Fuel Filter
Your vehicle is equipped with a lifetime fuel filter that is integrated with the fuel tank. Regular maintenance or replacement is not needed"

Even though the DEF did no leave my fuel tank I changed the filters anyway after watching a video on here.
I thought I would look in the book and see what the recommended change interval was so I would know when the next one would be do.

 

You might be reading the regular owners manual, which is probably true for Gas engines. What does your diesel supplement manual say?

 

That's for gas; refer to your Diesel Supplement; page 55. You need fuel filter kit FD 4615. Page 17 shows where the filters are.

 

Thanks. I guess I keep forgetting that they make these with a gas engine. I have already replaced them just thougt it was weird that it said that.
