Well I screwed up!!!!!. In the process of Replacing my third Edge fuel pressure sensor that has gone bad. I Made the mistake of over tightened and split the housing. How bad have a screwed up and what is involved in fixing this problem? How much do I have to replace? If anyone knows of a write up on what has to be replaced and how to do it and can direct me to it I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
You'll have to replace the oil/fuel filter housing assembly. Runs about $120 from AutoNation/White Bear Lake. You'll need your VIN to get the correct part for your truck since there is more than one option.
Unbolt all fuel lines and remove the 4 base bolts from around the oil filter portion of the housing. The assembly just lifts off. I would open the oil filter cap before you start so that the oil has adequate time to drain out. You can probably change it in less than 2 hours.
You are correct, sir, but with my allergies being totally stupid and the weather not cooperating I'll bide my time for a couple of more days til it gets RIGHT.
Thanks Tim for your reply that is a big help. I will definitely check the tech folder looking for this procedure including torque specs on the bolts I think I can handle that but it will probably take me double the time. It usually does!!
Has anyone else had this problem with the edge fuel pressure sensors failing? Like I said this will be my third one. I am just curious if other people are having the same problem. I did notice the sensor is different from the last two.
I was also wondering if there is such a thing out there as a flexible extension (ie braided stainless) that you could screw into the test port and then attach the sensor to that making for a much easier install and a way to keep it off of the radiator hose. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks for all the replies.

I actually think that option is the more common one. Most use a small length of hose to get the sensor away from the housing.
Thanks for pointing this issue out with Edge's Sensor
I have an Edge CS with the EAS Starter Kit & EGT Probe currently (love it btw), anyway I was just looking at ordering the EAS Sensor Input #98605
& a Pressure Sensor #98607 (which I assume u are using).
I was just looking at doing the same install it sounds like u did (hooking it directly into the Fuel Pressure Test Port).
I seen where some guy's are only using the 12x1.5 to 1/8 NPT Adapter & another used a 45* adapter also.
I was hoping to use the least amount of extra crap possible but seems the 45* block may be what your after.
Maybe we should look into a different Brand Sensor than Edge (just use the Edge 98605 Input Cable), possibly a ISSPRO or AEM Sensor
Anybody have an opinion whether or not the Test-Port is the "best" place to hook into (this was my plan) & is what I read "45+ @ WOT & no more than 90 psi ever" Correct
I don't mean to hack the OP's thread (just throwing ideas)
King Branch please highJack away!! All of these photos and things that you are bringing up is exactly what I was looking for. The fourth photo in your first picture post is what I am very interested in. The braided line, although the 45° fitting looks like a good option too, but I like the idea of getting it away from the housing completely.
The fuel sensor that Edge sent me this time is different from the last two so maybe they have addressed their problem I guess I'll find out with this one.

I hope so, i'll ask them about it before I order it....Thanks for posting
Will they Warranty them for any period of time
The ISSPRO or AEM Sender's are like half the cost of Edge's, I love my Edge Unit & its expandibility but I feel like they are raping people with the cost of add-on's (seriously $150 for a Foot long Harness #98605)
