My wife snuck up behind us and caught Dylan and I out test driving Albatrosss with the new 292 (bored to 301) and T98 built in the living room !
Running open headers and expired inspection in the big city is risky. We did fine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3d8...ature=youtu.be
Or the wife. We both rolled it. I NEVER roll stop signs. But the open headers were backfiring and I told Dylan " I'm rolling this stop sign.."
Busted by video!
Actually, stopped at least twice. The bell crank came unhooked because the rebuilt carb's linkage hits at a different angle than the Lo-D'Oh!-Matic one did. Mummert intake and Holley 1948-1 carb coming soon. The rebuilders screwed up my -113 heads and there's a coolant leak under the right head. I went to re-torque and they were already REAL TIGHT. Warranty period is long over due to my knee replacement and such is life. I'm pissed. I'm thinking of rebuilding some ECZ-G heads or just buying Mummert heads and moving on.
Yeah that's commonly known as a California stop around here LOL. Nice first drive, and getting the whole family involved makes it even more special. Congratulations, and thanks for sharing it with the rest of us.
