Neither of those are transmission codes and they will not cause the OD light to flash. Either the transmission codes were cleared (disconnecting the batteries?) or the AE isn't reading the transmission codes. No vehicle speed input will set a transmission code and flash the OD light.

So here is the update of what Jr had found wrong with the truck from the PO. They had put an 02 Trans in which normally is not a problem for a E99, but the 1&2 clutches. solenoid pack and torque convertor were bad. Then he found the body module was for an 02 and not 99. Then he found the rear diff kept taking out the speed sensor. He found the tone ring broke and the ring gear bolts broke, so he swapped out the rear end. Then because the body module was the wrong year, it fried the trans solenoid pack again. Sometimes PO can do a number!

I don't see how that could happen. The body module is not connected to the solenoids.

Mark, all I can say is every time he found a problem and fixed it he made progress. Like before he changed the body module, the truck would not shift out of 2nd. He put in a new module and gained everything but the overdrive. Now he is having the solenoid pack checked but the thought is it was toast. $370 down the drain.

Good Friends

You need a friend with a REAL Code Reader one where you plug in the vin and model and make with options. My O/D light Flashes and the tranny is mostly new. My buddy that owns a diesel performance shop ( also drives a 7.3) pulled my codes, ( I Did this myself at autozone it read nothing) When he pulled my codes it is throwing a high trans temp reading but I think in my case it is just because i have yet to hook up the trans temp sensor. As i was going to get a pillar gauge set and I added a Derale Deep trans pan. My money is on a sensor being out. If you don't have a good friend with quality tools pay a ford dealership that hundred dollar bill to pull the codes. You will know what the problems are then. My Buddies Code reader is a 5k$ snap on and it gives that code and tell you what the code mean and Offers trouble shooting up. Something like that is where your boys needs to turn. I swapped a tranny in an 01 f150 and it turned out to be sensors, not the tranny.
