Question bedside toolbox

Hey there guys.

I'm looking for a 73-79 bedside toolbox, complete box assy,(door, plastic tub, surrounding sheet metal) I didn't known if anybody knew where I could get one at, or if anybody had one they would be interested in selling? I'm looking for one to put on my 76 f250 highboy. Thanks -Mitch

Don't have one, in fact I want one. Just curious to find out if there is a difference in depth between the HB and a normal width frame

I have one that I'd just give you (minor damage to bottom edge makes door sticky) but shipping from Wyoming would be kinda painful. just keep an eye on local JY's. I might be wrong, but I believe that the doors from the bumps work. you might ask Bill he'd know for sure.

Slick tool compartment door...different from Bump tool compartment door...different from Dent tool compartment door.

If you look closely at the pic in post 3, you'll see that the Dent door is concave.

Here are pics of Slick & Bump doors.

Yeah I kinda wondered if the bump toolboxes would work also. And yeah I've looked at all my junk yards around here and just haven't had any luck at all. The dang scrap prices have went up here and most of the old girls that were sitting around have been scraped (makes me sick) so its had to fine many trucks or parts around here. How much do you think it would cost to ship something like that? I know a lot but... I'm here in Indiana.

So only 73-79 toolboxes will work then. I figured that was the case. Thanks for the info on that NumberDummy.

It's too bad Ford discontinued the toolbox after '79. I believe 1970's Dodges had them, too. I've often wondered if I could custom fabricate a similar toolbox compartment for my '97 Dodge. There's a whole lot of wasted space under the bed.

One thing for shipping that sometimes folks don't think of for oversized or heavy items is Greyhound bus. Worth a call anyway.

Tedster,
I used to use Greyhound all the time, but there isn't even a Trailways stop within 100 miles of me! closest is in Cheyenne! 120 miles from home! hahaha. I could check with the local UPS guys. The weight isn't that big a deal since it has a poly box, but the size is.
