It's a 2x4 with the intentions of doing a customized restoration. All of the truck will be Ford stock, but I want to customize the truck a little.
I'm definitely going to lift it and put 4x4 capability in it. At least I'm hoping to, anywho.
Nothing I plan on doing to it will make it look like a street rod. I just want to "muscle-fy" it a little. Beffing up the looks, adding a rollbar to it, etc.
I had some pictures taken of the truck today - yet they're still on my uncle's digital camera - and he lives in Portland, OR.
I hope to have them in a couple days - if he e-mails them to me.
I've pretty much located all of the stuff I want to get for it - but my main worry now is getting the grille shell and headlight/turnsignal mounts from a '79. After that, a Stull Tube insert, and then the rest will kinda fall into its own.
I kinda want to make the truck resemble the original Bigfoot monster truck, right down to the airbrushed pic of Bigfoot on the truck bed fenders, and the "Powered by Ford" graphic on the front fenders. I don't want to put the original "BIGFOOT 4x4x4" graphic on the doors and hood for obvious reasons, although if I could, I'd do it in a flat second. (Hey, it hasn't been used in nearly a decade and a half anyways!)
I dunno, just something about Bigfoot I... That whole appearance package... (Well, minus the road-illegal 66" flotation tires, which are still good but don't benefit me LOL!)
This is kinda what I want to do to it. Just not as large on the tires.
Here's the truck. It's the only picture I have right at the moment. The mirrors are getting swapped out for the original mirrors the truck came with. I also have the original set of Ford hubcaps for the truck - and they're in mint condition.
In addition to the grille swap, I'm also adding the chrome trim on the side of the truck and getting the chrome trim for the tailgate, too.
Basically, when I'm done, the truck will look like this, but a little smaller with the tires.
