E4OD vibration/shudder
I have a '94 F-150 4x4 5.8L with (I beleive) a e40d tranny. I have in the past had hard shifts after towing a heavy load, but was always able to reset the computer and go back to driving normally. However, after towing a heavy trailer a few days back, I have had a heavy shudder at idle (even in nuetral/park, but worse in gear with brakes applied). I have a code scanner and have retreived the code 628 - excessive slippage in torque converter. Is the torque converter shot, or could there be other items causing this behavior. I appreciate any input.
