What is it worth? just found an M68. Rust free cab. It looks much like the one Jolly Roger found. It was a grain truck, and the back fenders are a bit dented. All chrome including hub caps are there. Stuck V8, 4 speed. Was shedded for 30 of last 35 years. Any opinions on value?

Welcome to FTE!
Do you have any pictures of the truck? You mentioned rust free cab. Is it just the cab or the whole truck? What engine/transmission. Has there been any fab work anywhere? If so, what is the quality.
Well that's a pretty nice looking original truck.
I don't do any buying, so I can't give you any good estimates.
Does the engine run? It looks like it hasn't for quite some time. Hopefully our experts will toss out their opinion.
That truck here in the rust belt of southern Ontario would sell for around the $4,000 area. Looks like all the Mercury trim is there too. The radio blank out plate has the usual break in it and the front fender stainless suffers from dings which is common too. Nice truck. Greg M-47
And it is a dump bed, too. I see the bed up in your icon and I saw the PTO lever and lift lever coming thru the floor on the interior pic... Nice! A working dump should up the price a bit.

Good eye Abe. I didn't notice the second lever in the pic. I should have noticed that cuz mine has the same two levers also.
Welcome . Ours was found in similar condition with straighter fenders . The pump and hoist are not worth much in Alberta or Saskatchewan (very common item) . I paid $1100.00 for ours for what its worth . Are you buying or selling ?
The owner has an F47 ( I think that what he said) as a parts truck to go with it, as well he has a running flathead V8 that he had on an irrigation pump. Is there a chance it would be the same engine, or did Ford have an industrial series that would be a different block?
This is just my uneducated guess but if you could get that truck and the parts truck w/ extra motor as a package for less than 1500 it would be a pretty good deal. Providing the truck isn't all ate up with rust. You'll have to assess what it will take to get it to the level you want and take it from there. I think the Merc flatties are harder to find parts for. Not sure though. A spare would come in pretty handy. I don't think many of their parts cross with the Ford motors. I remember seeing old Harley knuckleheads on irrigation pumps back in the day.You could grab on of those and put it in a frame with minor mods easy enough. Maybe the spare motor would be the same. Good luck and welcome.
