There are 4-5 wires that only go between the two black plugs. Rip them out and plug the black plugs into each other.
Since it looks like there are only 4 wires that go into your amps speaker level input. Run 2 lengths of speaker wire from the 5520 along the drivers side under the sill tray to the rear where your amp is mounted. On my screw I recall it taking pretty much all of the 15' lengths of wire I bought to make it from the harness to the amp which I mounted behind the drivers rear seat.
OR you could locate the speaker wires in the b-pillars and just splice in there. But I prefer not to screw with my factory wiring at all. Plus the b pillars are a pain to get out of the way.
To power your amp. Don't waste your money on an amp kit, you only need the fuse block, fuse and power wire for this. Buy a fuse block and the appropriate fuse for your amp (or use a circuit breaker). Mount the block as close to the battery as possible. I screwed mine to the plastic battery box. If you're mounting the amp on the drivers side rear like I did, you'll need ~20' (a little more couldn't hurt) of 4awg power wire. (any decent car audio shop will sell it by the foot) Run it through the rubber grommet on the passenger firewall. I used some heavy solder and felt around for it inside the cab. You'll really have to reach for it. Tape power wire to solder and pull through firewall. Run the power wire under the passenger side sill plate to the rear and along the back wall to your amp. Cut excess wire off and use that for your ground wire. I used the middle seat belt mount for my ground.
This should at least give an idea of the direction you need to go. There are a lot of little details that you'll need to figure out on your own. Like how exactly you want to run the wires and what you want to tuck them behind and secure them to.
Best of luck.

Having a laptop and wifi that reaches your driveway/garage helps a ton with reviewing these videos inside your truck.
I have never done an amplified stereo before. I have only done HU and speaker swaps. Reviewing these videos and a couple threads on one of the F150 boards allowed me to figure out how. 2 years later, it still works great
