E99 Vacuum system and lines

I am the new owner of my first F-250 Super Duty 4WD. Under the hood I see several vacuum lines hanging loose and valves and stuff with places for hoses to attach and no hose attached. My heater system all seems to be in working order. The truck has manual only front hubs on it. Did it have the vacuum operated hubs from factory? Is there any reason I should be concerned with the loose ends? I am kind of **** and I don't think much of loose ends hanging around under my hood like that and may well yank them all out if they are unnecessary without vacuum operated hubs.
Thanks,
Mark

E99 including my truck has manual locking hubs and do not use the vacuum for anything other than heater/AC controls. Does your AC work?

I do not know about the A/C yet, will check it out. What on the A/C is vacuum controlled?

The blend doors. If you have a vacuum leak, the blend doors default to Defrost for safety.

As these things seem to be a maintenance item I'm suspecting that someone just put manual hubs on this one. What used to be the vacuum system is fairly extensive under the hood. A/C and heat work like they should through all phases. Right now camera battery is dead and charging and I will get some pics when it's charged.
Thanks,
Mark

Ok, here are some pics of the vacuum lines.
First is the pump. The open line seems to be the outlet, the other line goes to a big plastic container I presume to be the vacuum tank.

And here is a thing that sits behind the battery to the front of the pump on the wall of the engine compartment. It looks like a sloniod or switch of some sort. One hose goes to the heater area and the other is disconnected at that unit. (If any of this makes sense).

The heater and A/C works like it should and the vacuum pump does shut off after a little bit. Why all these hoses? Should I remove some of it?
Thanks,
Mark

I snapped a couple shots of mine from an E99 with manual locking hubs so hope they help you out on which hoses you need. Let me know if you need some better pics to clarify, I have no problem doing that.

If you have some of the hoses going down to the wheel hubs and are not being used, sure I would say it's fine to get rid of them to clean it up

The hose followed by the red line goes from the vacuum tank to the heater box.

The hose with the red arrow goes to the vacuum tank.

Thanks Scotttahoe I would guess that the extra hoses and contraption I have were for vacuum hubs at one time. What you have highlighted there is intact.
