On American Pickers tonight, Mike and Frank were at another picker/scrapper's place . He had the rear end of a panel truck including the doors. Mike called it a sedan delivery which is another commercial vehicle based on a car chassis. The man said he thinks it was a Ford panel truck. The tail light looked like a Ford light but the doors did not have FORD letters embossed on the rear doors. Are 48-52 doors the same as 53-56 panel truck doors? Did earlier panel truck doors have FORD on them?
$300 very easy as long as they aren't rotted out. Don't tell us it also had the original bucket seats and '48-50 factory radio, please do say it!!
Nope, it was just the back end, maybe about 2 feet of the back end. The guy cut it off because the rest of the truck was trashed. I did not see any rust out at the bottom of the doors.
Yeah, I saw that too. The doors looked good from what you could see on TV. I was thinking someone might want the whole rear section for damage or rust repair.
There was a set of 53-56 rear doors on ebay a while back for $1000. And they weren't perfect. I don't know if they sold.
