I order my 2014 F550 cab and chassis the second week in January. Was told that it would be complete with dump body install by the end of March. truck was to be delivered to the dealership on February 28. Truck was never delivered. When I spoke with my salesman, he checked his papers that said it was on the convoy to be delivered, and he wasn't sure what the delay was. I did a little digging and contacted my regional Ford rep. He finds out that the truck is on the convoy to be delivered, but the convoy is still sitting outside the Kentucky plant waiting for a locomotive to pick it up to be towed to Mass. He said the weather across the country is delaying the locomotives making it back to the plant and that 40,000 cars/trucks have been affected.
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I may never buy a Ford again.
How can you blame a company on the weather and the railroad? I can appreciate the frustration but why beat yourself up over things out of anyone's control.
