Hey there. Are the turn signal ***** (black plastic, push on) on my 1978 F250 4x4 the same as other years/models? I can't find any that don't come with the stalk, so going to try a salvage yard. I was wondering in case they have a Bronco or a van and not a truck. Pretty standard sized thing? Thanks.
I think the OP was referring to the **** itself. It pushes on the stalk.
What he said.....**** pushes on, lever screws in. Been calling around, looks like I'll have to order the whole dang thing, or make a **** out of something.....wood, perhaps, or the "****" from the end of a guitar "whammy bar", probably got a couple of those lying around. Trying to save as much $ as possible!
At the most that is a $1.00 item at the JY, more like 50 cents. I have at least 4 or 5 spares, I would give you a complete one for for shipping, prob 2 $ to ship to TN?
If you do not have a local JY with any, PM me if you really need one bad from me.
Go real cheap, use black elec tape, it does not effect the operations of the lever, lol.
Wrap a little tape and put a spent rifle or favorite pistol casing on it.

i think most 70's era fords used the same threaded shaft if you cant find a truck maybe an old pinto, wagon, ltd,or econoline van might have the same one you need.
