What is the good bad and ugly of the 6.4 diesel and the 6.7 I NEED to get another truck soon!! I need to be able to pull 4 horse trailer w/ horses in it.

Agreed. If you can, get the 6.7L. You will not regret it. I went from the 6.4L to the 6.7L, and it is a world of better.

 

newer is always better if you can afford it. Most of the 6.4 are quickly coming out of warranty now.

6.4 is a good motor but finding one with low miles will be hard.

 

6.4 is awful on fuel mileage. Loaded and unloaded.

 

The 6.4's are strong motors but suffer from DPF issues. They can be made reliable with aftermarket tuning and DPF deletes

I test drove my current truck with a 6.7 in it and I loved it. Great power and response. The only thing that kept me from getting it was a short commute.

Go with the 6.7

 

All financials being equal id choose a 6.7 over a 6.4 any day.
