CANADIAN SERIAL # DECODING

I found this at the swap meet. I dropped $70. Yes, i'm sharing. This will float upon the datastream for as long as the Canadian parts book was hiding in a box. - I scanned these at 600 DPI in BMP format with zero compression. Yes, one of the pages is water stained.

Is there anyway to tell from the production serial plate what motor size was installed in the truck too? I have a 1959 Canadian made F100

Not as far as i can tell. mine is a canadian built 57 with a Y block there are a couple of engine variations -that's for sure.

Mine is a 1959 Canadian built. That came with a factory 272. No where can I find any information that says 59's came with 272's, only the 292.

1957/63 Ford Truck Parts Catalog:

B7AZ-6008-F .. 272/292 Engine Overhaul Gasket Set ~ 1957/59 F100/700.

C0AZ-6008-E .. 292 Engine Overhaul Gasket Set ~ 1960/63 F100/700.

Notice there are no 272 applications for 1960/63.
