Cougar Eliminator Gauges
I have an opportunity to get a set of them. Four rounds, full instrumentation with tach. Also all the courtesy warning lights. I'm thinking it would be a cool set for something different in the F-350. And they are the same year to boot. I'd have to make a harness as these have a circuit board, but that doesn't bother me. Might be just the excuse to add a bead roller to the equipment list so I can make a correct looking bezel.

They are nice looking gauges, Rasputin but be careful. Cougars had some screwball ideas about dash gauges in the late '60s era. The ammeter was externally shunted- driven by the small voltage drop in a wire at the alternator- and the tach had ignition current running through it. If the tach failed, you walked.
Make sure that you get proper schematics for the donor Cougar and understand how the gauges are driven.

Roger that. My other classic is a 67 Mustang. The ammeter is pretty much useless and the feed through tach is solvable with a bypass switch. And if you use a three position center-off DPDT it makes a nice anti-theft control.
