OK OK
I had this is mind... I have a tachless model '96, and I was gonna put some [link:www.procarparts.com/store/displaydetails.cfm?pid=ING-92F150-REV|Silver Gauges] in my truck. It comes w/ the tach put it wouldn't have the needle and it doesn't have the trip and reset holes. You think I'll be able to get these to work? I would have to just find a needle right?
Oh yah... How do you set the needles back to their right positions? Please let me know...
OK, yeah, I have been dealing with this dilema too. Those Silver gauges aren't gonna work for ya man. You would have to have the gauges with the tach, then the needle thing wouldn't be a problem. Those are just overlays for you original gauges, they aren't the complete gauges themselves. You would have to convert to the gauge cluster that has the tach in it. But if you look at those gauges, specifically at the speedometer, the numbers are completely different then the ones on your stock gauges. See what I mean? I have been thinkin about this for three days now, trying to see if it would work for me too, but I doubt it.
Yah I was thinking just about the same thing. Well I guess this stinks. I guess I'll find a pretty messed up low mile truck w/ a tach this summer... when I go junk yard hopping. Well Thanx Reddevil!
I heard its really easy to get a tach on there. If you just get the gauge the wires and everything are already back there. All you do is plug it in. About an hour i heard.
