I have seen this picture before and have been doing some reading up on this route. Hid Projector Retrofit in 2011 Expedition Completed - Ford Expedition Forum
I like the look of these and I wanted to get a better light output out of the headlights. I know the f150 lights get a lot of these mods also as the light output from stock is not the greatest.
These are the projectors that I am looking at using for this mod. Bi-xenon FX-R Stage III Kit - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
I have looked into the DRL lights on the Expy from a search here and it seems they are in the computer programming and will not be easy to get around. The reason for this is so the HID bulbs do not come on all the time with the DRL until I turn on the lights, plus I wanted to wire in some LED halos with the above projectors and/or some led bulbs while I have the housings apart installing the projectors. I would much rather have the LED's run as my DRL.
Is there going to be a harness, or easy way around the DRL lights on the Expy? My other thought was to have the DRL's dissabled by the dealer and run a relay triggered from a hot with key trigger wire to run DRL's always on. I could wire in a switch for the few time that I did not want any lights on while running and parked.
