I believe it was 2003 when Ford decided to do that to all their trucks. The upgraded the cup holder and put the ashtray in between the cups, The early model cup holder was junk and would not hold a cup around corners. First thing I changed out in my truck!
Thanks for posting that Stewart! Definitely something I'll be doing soon. I like your 550 dash with the switches peeking in the side of that pic too! I was gonna do that to my flatbed this fall, but there's too many holes in the dash from the PO. My switches ate scattered all around trying to hide the mess he made.

nope. my 2000, 2002 and 2004 all have the ash tray in between the cup holders and just the hook down there.
My 02 and my buddies 02 have a trash hook where the ashtray used to be. I routed my iPhone cable through the hole behind the hook. Not as clean as Stewarts pics though.
