Yea that's what I thought so I did not want to get a stud according to the nut off present stud. My carb started to whistle, did some research and sounds like my base plate below the carb may be warped. Figured it would be a good time to replace the too short studs, the nuts barely go on. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, I've had the tall 2" black plastic type one leak due to the way it's made from having the hollow walls.
I was thinking about filling the wall pockets with a epoxy but then said the hell with it. Since, I already a aluminum one!!

Yes but it don't stop the plastic one from warping the gasket in the hollow wall ones.
