Any tips on installing the weatherstripping that goes between the door and the cab?
What is the best adhesive?
And should I start at the bottom or the top, and does the rubber go on the actual door itself or around the door on the cab where the door closes?
I know these might be dumb questions, but "Oh well.."
Any advice would be MUCH appreciated...
Hey Bro. I have not done mine yet but when I do I'm going to use two adhesives. One being the 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive. AKA gorilla snot, yellow glue of death. And also #77 spray contact adhesive. Mount them with a small bead of the yellow stuff. This will be used as the permanent adhesive. The #77 adhesive I will use to hold the weatherstrips in place while the yellow glue is drying. IMHO I would start on the bottom in the middle. Go around and end there. Better chance for no wind noise or leaks sneaking through.
Be aware that after installing new weatherstripping, your door might require a bit more 'persuasion' to close fully until the weatherstripping gets broken in.
