Fuel Pump Issue Blues....

I noticed the last couple days that I haven't been able to build much boost. The other day I changed out my wix 3007 filter because I noticed an odd film in the filter. I checked it again today and the same "film" is there even with the new filter.
While the truck was running I climbed under there and noticed that there was almost no fuel coming from the tank to the pre filter.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if the main filter under the hood was clogged the fuel pump should still be ram rodding the fuel up to the point of the clog which leaves me to believe my pump isn't doing it's job..... Correct?

EDIT: I also have a solid SES light and no hard codes..... The soft codes are not related to anything going on

I don't have my fuel psi gauge in the truck now...... I'm betting it's next to nothing though.

I'll get a haze of smoke from a dead stop then it all clears up in no time unlike it usually does. Fuel is with out a doubt my problem but im not sure if it's the pump or not. It only makes sense to me

Which fuse is it for the fuel pump? And or relay?

EDIT turns out my pump isn't kicking on like it should. I checked fuses all seems to be good there. I'm gonna check voltage at the pump now.

Double edit. I'm getting 10.75 volts to fuse #30 any other ideas? 10.78 volts to the fuel pump.... I think I'm SOL

Your fuel pressure gauge would tell you more info.

If you are getting voltage to the pump, but no pressure, the pump is likely toast. A new pump is $150 at your local parts place and you can change it out in about 10 minutes with only a screwdriver.

The fuel pickup in your tank also may have fallen apart (mine did) and is not picking up fuel in the tank. Does this occur with a quarter tank or less fuel? If so, it could be the fuel pickup assembly.

Yeah my pump is toast.... Nation wide back order for the Bosch OEM too.....

Pick up foot is fine I've done all the intank mods... She's at a full tank now... Thanks for guessing though.

The Airtex model that is analogous to the Bosch OEM is a fine pump.
