Okay so I got my gauges installed and wiring run, all the lights work and boost gauge is working. I turned the fuel up 2 flats and went for a test drive, holy smokes that's what I'm talking about. Only problem is my pyro is not working for some reason.. I hooked up the wires correctly at the probe, red to red yellow to yellow, and on the backside of the gauge it has appositive stamp above the terminal and that's where I hooked up the yellow wire to and the red on the other side
I did notice there is a little jumper wire or spring between the two terminals as you can see in the picture, is this supposed to be there? I removed it and still didn't work at all. Is there any other power or grounding I should be doing to this?
Don't know on the gauges, but if you put one of Racin's 90 cc pump in I here you will really be surprised. When your ready, that's what I would do for sure.
remove the jumper.
try switching the wires red to pos yellow to neg.
if that don't work, you may need a new thermocouple.
I tried switching the wires and had no luck, even with that jumper wire removed still no luck, I'm going down to the Freightliner store and pick up a new thermo coupler. $33 bucks for the isspro gauges.. What does that jumper do on the back? I couldn't find any information on that

Well when I'm needing a pump I most definitely will look into it, the pump that I picked up was off of a 7.3, the pump and injectors had less than 10000 miles.. Bb codes and all pop/pressure matched
Well that didn't fix it..... I used a meter to check it and it was OL, so might be a gauge? I with I had another gauge for comparison.. I will just have to stay out of the throttle until I get a working gauge, can't really afford to buy another 200 at this point
on the banks gauges i use in all my trucks the jumper is to keep the gauge zeroed.
since the pyrometer does not have an external power source, it very sensitive to static energy. if you leave the gauge for any length of time without the jumper, it will read off.
the gauge in my 88 sat with no jumper on it for around 7 months. it reads 200 degrees no matter how cold the engine is.

I tried it with and without the jumper wire, still make no difference..
Okay I removed it and we'll take it out for a drive in the morning and see if it reads differently. If not I guess I am looking into a new gauge for sure, kind of a shame because I like the look of this old gauge
Video :-) this is a quick ride down the street with the downpipe only, its a lot louder obviously when you're sitting in the truck.. But you can hear the turbo for sure
Boost gauge works great, I'm getting about 9-10 psi when I pedal to the metal lol. Bottom end seems about the same, but pulls hard on hills now with only 5lbs or so. Had to get a new pyro gauge, this old one was dead

Ah yes, I saw up there where you got a new thermo but it didn't help. For some reason I didn't put the two together.
