1967 worth saving from scrap yard?

I met a guy with an old 1967 Ford truck that he is going to haul off for scrap on the next few days ( side note, he just scrapped out a model TT )
Says it's all original with a 360, 4 speed, and a nine foot step side bed. Not an 8 foot. Said it's a logging truck extra heavy duty. Some rust. Needs to be cleaned, not running, and needs a steering column.

What is the truck worth? Id like to keep this from becoming Chinese steel but I can't afford to lose any money.

Thanks guys.

If you pay him just a little m ore than the scrap price, you won't lose money. As Mike said, if you don't want the whole truck (but it looks like it could be a good running truck) there are a lot of good parts on it!

When I parted out my crusty '67 was more then $500. Then I scrapped what was left of cab and frame.

Stuff like door hardware, stainless trim, heater controls. You won't get rich, but won't loose.

I used the "other" site and it went like hotcakes.

The fenders will fit flareside trucks from 1953 to 1972. The doors look good, also. how is the hood?

In the pic the hood looks damaged but repairable. Can't be sure but it looks like it has some rusted out spots too.

The hood looks like it's been jumped on. Light rust.

Front finders have rust behind the front wheels. Baseball sized.

If the engine is not seized then its for sure worth the 500! Probably worth it even if the engine is toast.

If I were buying I would crawl under it and see what kind of structural rust it has got. Exterior body panels are not all that difficult to fix or replace, but structural becomes a pain in the ***.

Definitely worth a 500 dollar bill. I'd hate to see it get parted out though. I'd say it should be brought back to life. I'd buy it if I was offered it. I love the flare sides. Especially a 9 footer

Not a 67 grill and not 67 hood emblems. You sure it is a 67?
