I met a guy with an old 1967 Ford truck that he is going to haul off for scrap on the next few days ( side note, he just scrapped out a model TT )
Says it's all original with a 360, 4 speed, and a nine foot step side bed. Not an 8 foot. Said it's a logging truck extra heavy duty. Some rust. Needs to be cleaned, not running, and needs a steering column.
What is the truck worth? Id like to keep this from becoming Chinese steel but I can't afford to lose any money.
If you pay him just a little m ore than the scrap price, you won't lose money. As Mike said, if you don't want the whole truck (but it looks like it could be a good running truck) there are a lot of good parts on it!
If the engine is not seized then its for sure worth the 500! Probably worth it even if the engine is toast.
If I were buying I would crawl under it and see what kind of structural rust it has got. Exterior body panels are not all that difficult to fix or replace, but structural becomes a pain in the ***.
Definitely worth a 500 dollar bill. I'd hate to see it get parted out though. I'd say it should be brought back to life. I'd buy it if I was offered it. I love the flare sides. Especially a 9 footer
