Hey everybody somebody dropped off a 1977 f250 at a local junkyard. I'm going to try to get the grill and shell. Anybody have any requests? I can't guarantee the condition but I have good enough judgment to know the difference between something that is ruined.
If equipped I'd be interested in the auxiliary battery tray (regardless of condition), the continuous duty solenoid, and as much of the associated wiring.
Here are other things that make good trading fodder:
Bucket seat brackets
Stock AM/FM radio
Uncracked steering wheels + sport steering wheel
Decent "Lariat", Camper Special/Trailer Special emblems
Ranger XLT glovebox emblem
Polished glovebox trim
Contour bumper-style rear license plate lights, lenses, caps, & pigtails (sometimes adapted to dock bumpers)
So I just got of the phone with the guy running the junk yard, complete *******, wow. I'm torn about even doing business with this guy. If the grill wasn't such a deal id call the whole thing off.
I went to my local junkyard, and was hoping to find a couple dentside trucks..the last time I went there I found 4 of them(and that was before I owned one).. now they only have 1.. and it was picked clean of everything..
The trip was a bust. Truck was completely stripped.
It looks like it still has some decent stuff on it. XLT emblems, the OEM transmission cooler, racetrack trim and probably more that can't be seen from the front.
