Cats off?

I've made up my mind to remove my cats. oh yeah, 1994 I6 2wd. I'm a novice so I thought it would be no big deal but...There are, as you all know, 2 pipes comming off the manifold into the first cat. Well now, how do I connect the 2 pipes into one?

Why bother removing the cats?? If you are after performance, buy a catback exhaust system.

dont connect them into one, just run duals out the back of each side, it sounds better than on pipe, as far as taking cats off goes, you should increase power a little and gas mileage a little. and its ALOT cheaper than a catback system (if you do it yourself)

Cats off?

Run a single pipe. If you knock the innards out of the cat it will join them together real well then run a single pipe to the rear with some good mufflers.

Keep your pipe diameter at 2.5in for a single pipe and 2in for duals to best match the 300, otherwise you will lose lots of low and mid range power and torque
