I am going to assume you (not u, please don't write like that here) want to drop the steering column to get at the ignition switch wiring, removing the column is more of a Big Deal to do.
All you really need to do is remove the lower trim panel underneath the column, there are some bolts holding the column up via some aluminum brackets, simply remove them; you don't need to remove the 4 bolts holding the aluminum brackets to the column, just the brackets to the dash; the whole column drops into your lap, I think that's all there is to it.
If you want it all the way off then the bolts holding it to the firewall come out as well as the bolt that couples the steering shaft. If it's an auto then the linkage to the tranny has to be popped off.
WATCH OUT FOR THE LINKAGE TO THE SHIFT INDICATOR. The shift indicator on autos are very fragile and dropping the column too far could result in damaging it.
