351w roller, stroked and aluminum heads / carbbed
Ever sense New and tight. Seems to get oil dirty kinda fast. I was wondering if normal blow bye would cause that? I have a breather cap on one cover and a PVC on the other going to intake manifold. In boat / I cruise @ 3200 and set up pump to wot @ 4500 rpms
What got me thinking is the topic of a catch can on my new SHO ecoboost.
I got help setting up new motor and carb (750) we got her jetted so plugs were reading proper. But come to think of it the rear plugs closer to the pcv were darker
Don't even know if the PVC and intake side of the motor would cause dark engine oil
The oil reading on the stick could be proper color? It just seems to go from clean to kind of dark a little fast. Just guessing here but what would you expect the oil to look like in 4 hours @ 3200 rpms on my little stroker?
I had this motor built for me by a large build company. Dyno @ 400+ hp 500 tq
Runs flawless. Just wondering how normal or what oil color should be. My 4 hours @3200 rpms is just a guesstimate. Maybe next oil change I'll track it closer
