Need some help!
What are the symptoms of the front axl u joints going out? While driving at slow speeds and turning it feels like my tires are rubbing on the fender. Doesn't matter which way I turn the wheel. It just has a vibrating feeling. I noticed it a while back while going in reverse. Sometimes it would have that feeling and other times it wouldn't. I'm thinking U joints or possibly the auto locking hubs? Any information you fellas can give would be great. I guess I shouldn't rule out bearings either

Could be what you're describing another symptom is after rounding a corner steering wheel will not center on its own, you have to steer it back to center. Lock hubs, jack front end in the air and spin tires and listen look at joints try to see if they are loose.

Come to think of it, there have been a few times that the wheel didn't exactly want to come back to zero. I have had the front end up a couple months ago and did move the wheels back and forth while looking at the u joints. I didn't see any movement at all, but I hadn't engaged the 4 wheel drive.

Could be steering rack too possibly? I replaced mine a while back, along with the PS hydraulic line.
If what you hear is a rubbing sound, and sound like it's the tires, check the tires for abnormal wear on the tire.
