I have a 2002 f250 powerstroke, while driving it smokes pure white smoke and feels like its loading up and will start shaking if I floor it, it will rev slowly popping like its loaded up then cleans out runs good for a 1/4 mile than same thing. My temp gauge stopped working and it just seemed to get worse. Stuck it on a scanner and it didnt have any codes but was saying the engine temp was -211°f. I got a new sending unit didint fix any of the problems. Does anyon have any ideas?..thanks zack

Could be several things. First I ask is one bank not firing? Its common for the under valve cover harness to wiggle free.
What kind of scanner did you use? While these trucks do have an OBDII port, they are not OBDII compliant. Therefore, a generic OBDII scanner will not pull codes. You need one specifically designed for the 7.3 engine in order to pull them. I can all but guarantee you will have some.
In the meantime, I agree with Trey, start looking at your wiring very carefully, the under valve cover harnesses are known to come loose and cause similar symptoms to what you are experiencing, also your wires can chaffe on the valvecovers and short, causing a whole host of symptoms.
Took it over to the shop this morning had it scanned again came up with 2 codes that say cyl 4 and 6 hi to low side open.? Not sure what that means. Those were the only two codes
