Went to lower my spare and realized that I am missing the folding long jack handle and key for the spare lowering mechanism...
I checked E-Bay and nothing reasonable - one complete kit with the jack and everything....but have the lug wrench and jack, just missing the long handle??
Today I ordered new rear axle U-Bolts so I can remove the 4 inch lift so I can tow my fifth wheel also new stock rear front leaf spring shackle to remove the front lift as well...but before my travels begin, need to find a jack handle, any ideas, let me know....
Junk yard is the best place. You might also consider getting a 3/4 -1 ton sizzor jack that is made for Chevy pickups. It's alot better setup than the bottle jack from Ford. I got mine at a junk yard also.
Yeah best bet is a junk yard. As for the lock use a 9/16 socket and some extentions, tap it on and lower your spare tire. Then take the plastic tube twist it and remove it, then take a screw driver or pliers and remove the lock. After that you will just use the normal jack rod.
