Yep it is the orange or yellow color looking encased fuse right down from the starter solenoid. Located on the passenger side inner fenderwell. Just get a replacement...
Are your batt cable color matched? Red +, black - ? Put the suppose to help with no corrosion rings under the post, they are sort of color coded, red + , green -.
After you get your fusible links straightened out, it would be a good idea to check your fuses, electrical connections - solenoid, starter, regulator, etc. Then once she's running, check for charging - voltmeter across the + and - battery terminals - should have ~ 14 VDC.
I know those fusible links are there to protect the circuitry, but checking/testing can't hurt.
As said above, make sure the alternator charges the battery after it's back up and running. The fusible link at the output of the alternator does not always react quickly enough, and it's very common to blow the diodes in the alternator during polarity reversal.
