Some fine weapons there guys.
Out here in Australia they are making it harder & harder for us shooters. Good to see you boys with 303's they are very common here in Australia, some are necked down to 303/25's, all are very accurate.
My favourites are-
Winchester 9422 .22
Winchester 92 .44-40
Winchester94 .30-30
Nikko O/U 12g
Uberti copy of a black powder revolving carbine
Taurus used Smith & Wesson technolgy and design (and vice-versa) when S&W still made a decent product and Beretta actually built the Taurus plant with Beretta producing the 92 in Brazil under the Taurus name. Not liking a Taurus is kind of not liking a S&W or Beretta. Taurus continued using decent quality control while S&W went cheap trying to remain competitive in the US market against Ruger. I've owned Taurus and Beretta 92s and found them to be high in quality and good shooters.

A Savage 30.06; I never should have bought the thing. Brutal to get it sighted and thanks to the rather thin barrel I'd swear it looses accuracy after it warms up a bit. I'm gonna look into a Remington bolt action of some form in the 700 series, just havent done all my homework yet. Still debating over 7mm or 30.06 too.
I have the need to be able to take a 250 yard shot, but I'm very good at stalking so generally I really need only about 75-100 yards. Decisions decisions..........

Holy Cow! I thought bikers packed a lot of hardware. They don't hold a candle to you truck driving men. I've just got an old Savage 12 ga. about 40 years old
Does the M-16 and 357 combat masterpiece that I had issued in Viet Nam count?
elwhoppo, the M-79 reminds me of the time I was in a bar in Phouc Vinh and someone had a little to much to drink and fired off his M-79 inside the building. Thank goodness it was a small place and the round didn't travel far enough to arm before it bounced off a wall. Sure did have people diving for cover though.

I sold my 1911 Colt .45 so I'm out of handguns. I'm thinking of replacing it with a Para Ordinance .45. I've got a .50 cap lock I've never fired and I like my Remington 1100. My son really liked his Ruger 280 for deer until last year he got a Browning in .300 SM - that sucker really reaches out.
Dono
Over the years I have gleaned the most shooting enjoyment from 22s. I liked the Ruger 10-22 and their auto pistol. The best shooting 22 I ever got my hands on is an antique Remington pump that my brother has.
All around favorite is my Mossberg 12 g. pump with 20 inch barrel and rifle sights. I will take it over any handgun when in Brown bear habitat. Nothing has the close range stopping power of a 3" mag slug.
