Started normal then abrupt stall - no fire

Truck has been running great lately. Started up normally this am and while idling after about a minute (maybe a little less) it just quit altogether. Turns over just fine, but won't fire now. Tried long glow plug cycle thinking maybe fuel pump had a hiccup, but still doesn't fire.
Fresh tank of gas in it about 5 miles ago. Water??
Any ideas where to start troubleshooting? Thanks in advance!

Ha. Yes, it is diesel in there. :-)

Cranked for 10 seconds and there was no reading on the oil pressure guage on the instrument cluster. That what you mean by checking ICP while cranking?

Oil pressure guage on the dash is an idiot light that only looks for +-5 psi.

On your scangauge, here are the codes for it:

Injection Control Pressure

07E0221446

046205140646

3010

003900640000

ICP

PSI

500 psi is required for the engine to start, any less and you're going nowhere.

Highest that the ICP read on SGII was 241, though I'm reading that the SGII can lag significantly. Temperature is just above freezing here so everything somewhat slow - including me.

Cranking slower after a few seconds leads me to a new very stoopid question...

How do I hook up my 12 volt charger (with 100 amp start function) to the system so that i can help this thing crank and get meaningful readings?

Going to program IPR into the SGII while a wait for a reply. ANything else?

Very much appreciate the help here.

It's a 12v system, not 24. Just hook it to one battery

Told you it was a stupid question.
Batteries too low now and 100amps doesn't appear to be enough. Looks like I ain't moving today.
Tried a video. Not sure if this will work...

Charge those batteries up and try again, but if while the batteries were still charged you couldn't get more than 241 ICP PSI, you probably have a bad or failing HPOP or a leak at the discharge tube.

A friend/mechanic loaned me the tool and told me to pull the IPR, which he thought was likely stuck.. Check it out.

That don't look good...

Chances are if that's messed up, the one below the HPOP resevoir needs some attention too.

You could get away with it, but you could also just replace the IPR and be good.

If it were me and I had the cash, I'd make sure HPO resevoir screen was clear of debris and the o-ring between the discharge tube and HPOP hadn't disintegrated.

That looks like doorman gasket material to me, have you replaced the oil cooler in recent past?
