3rd straight 6
I've surfed the forums and didn't see anything regarding the tank selector valve. Is there a way to tell that the valve is switching from one tank to the other? If this has been covered before on another thread, if you could point me at it..
Just picked up an 89 F150, 4x4 with the straight 6. Big fan of the 6. 1st one I had was a 1960 with a 3 on the tree. (remember those?) 2nd was a '78. Both very dependable trucks. Looking forward to fixing this 89.
Sat in a field for 3 years and had mouse turds all over the engine. But with a jump start I was able to drive it on to a trailer. And it has started every time since then. Process of replacing front end.
Oh, the tank switch on the dash is worn and I can't see the letters. Am I correct is assuming that with the switch in the up position that it is the forward tank?
thanks
I think your best bet is to ask in the 87-96 forum, I'm sure you'll get the help you need there.
