One of these days I'll get off my lazy butt and check why my light doesn't always go out whenever I disengage the pedal.

My bet is on the sensor.

The sensor is nothing but a ground. I had to take mine apart and clean it but that was because it never came on. When the pedal is up it breaks the ground and turns the light off, so if something is pressing the switch at all it should easily break the ground.

It seems it wouldn't be the sensor/switch if it stays on, but the rubber stopper isn't making contact for what ever reason(s)
