P1249 Wastegate Fail
Today I have replaced few sensors on my '01 7.3 Excursion 4x4. I get this code P1249 Wastegate Fail Steady State Test. I replaced the exhaust back pressure sensor and the MAP/IAT sensor. I also cleaned out the BPS bracket (completely clogged) and tube. A bicycle brake cable made into a little chimney sweep, worked great! I'm thinking the Wastegate Actuator is stuck or is it the valve in the turbine stuck? How can I tell what is bad? Is this what I need to replace?
