To me.bought another project and was wondering if anyone can give me info on the codes read today.1996 4x4 crewcab long box manual trans.Truck low on power and runs a bit ruff cold but better hot.
p1271 cylinder 1 high to low often
p1298 idm fault
Contribution test, cyl 1 balance fault.

I posted but still haven't recieved much feedback.I found some info but not finding much for p0470 and what problems it will cause.I know it is the exhaust pressure sensor fault.I'm just wonder what causes this code and what affects it has on performance.1996 psd manual trans

P0470 is the exhaust back pressure sensor it controls the EBPV (exhaust back pressure valve on the pass side of the trubo
under the sensor their is a tube that goes to the pass side exhaust manifold the sensor and tube is most likely stoped up. the sensor will not cause the truck to run bad
